They disappeared for a while, tucked away in barns and the like. But in the last few years the Hurst SC/Rambler vehicles are starting to peek their noses from the dark once again. The recipe of stuffing an incredibly powerful engine under the hood of an incredibly light car worked well in favor for American Motors. Not too many were made, and of those, some were exposed to the elements. I do remember one, right down to it’s studded red-line 70-series rear snow tires and Twin-Grip rear end scrambling around the streets years ago. I remember them being fast then, they still are now.

Cars don’t rust so fast in Georgia, and while visiting Mom I’ve seen a bunch of old iron sittin’ around, waitin’ for someone to care. Ran across this place while traveling through Lavonia and stuck my head inside. They was workin’ on a ’40 Ford pickup, and had a building full of parts and cars. Had some finished rods waitin’ for owners. Said they had even more stored on other locations. Said they didn’t mind if I shot and put up some of what was sittin’ around.
